Senior Risk Officer

Our client is global bank with substantial Irish operations. As part of their ongoing expansion plans in Ireland they now wish to recruit a Senior Risk Officer within a newly established business. The role will report into the MD Irish Operations.

The Role:
- Oversee credit and risk
- Primary responsibility for legal, regulatory, financial and operational exposure of new entity
- Implementation of a new risk infrastructure, control framework and risk policy
- Lead the development and improvement of risk/business processes
- Oversee improved consistency of policies, processes, tools, etc.
- Define position/portfolio and concentration limits
- Analyse daily liquidity exposures and monitor limits
- Work with senior management, clients, market/credit risk control & operations
- Define margin regimes and parameters

The Candidate:
- Graduate in business, post graduate preferred
- Industry qualification advantageous
- Deep expertise in derivatives and/or clearing industry
- Working knowledge of exchanges like Eurex, LCH, LIFFE
- Familiarity with risk measures like VaR, Monte Carlo, etc
- Strong understanding of risk management disciplines and frameworks
- Min 10 years experience related to futures/options trading and risk mgt
- Ability technology risk and compliance initiatives
- Good quantitative capabilities and demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong project management capabilities with a focus on execution
- Excellent communication skills
